A pair of researchers with the Polish Academy of Sciences has unearthed the fossil remains of what they claim is a 150-million-year-old sea monster known as a pliosaur. The researches found the fossil at the Holy Cross Mountains near the village of Krzyżanowice.
In a paper, the researchers highlighted that pliosaurs were twice the size of a modern-day giant whale and were at the top of the food chain during their existence. The researchers further claim that pliosaurs were large enough to have killed and eaten the T. Rex.
