2 Schools In ‘Noida’ Shut Due To Coronavirus Threat, Students Advised To Undergo Tests

After 2 new cases of Coronavirus were confirmed in India yesterday the one in Delhi has led to the shutdown of school in Noida. The man from Delhi is the father of a child whose son studies in this ‘Noida school’.

The parent community of The Shriram Millennium School in Noida has decided not to send their children to school after the man was tested positive yesterday. The school has been unofficially shut down for 14 days. Taking precautionary measure Shiv Nadar School has also shut down for six days.

Recently the man threw a birthday party of his child which was attended by several classmates and other friends of the child residing in Noida and Delhi. The Ministry of Health has reached out to all those who were present and tests are being conducted. In the meantime, they have all been advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.

The infected man had a travel history to Itlay. On his return, he visited a doctor in Mayur Vihar and when the symptoms didn’t show signs of abating, he was tested for coronavirus. The man is now recuperating in the quarantine ward of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. So, far 5 cases of coronavirus have been reported in India.
