32,000 Indians In UAE Make Registration For Comeback To India

India has been trying hard to bring its citizens from abroad amidst this pandemic. Adding to these efforts is the Indian missions in the UAE. The Indian Embassy in Dubai opened the E-registration process for Indians who want to come back to the country.

It is informed that the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India, Dubai, have started a database to register Indians wishing to travel back to India under COVID-19 situation. The details can be entered through the website of the Embassy www.indianembassyuae.gov.in or Consulate www.cgidubai.gov.in by following the link ‘Register in Database of Indians to Travel Back to India under COVID-19 situation“, tweeted the embassy.

As per the latest updates around 32,000 Indians have registered on the portal for return. The embassy said that the purpose of the form as of now is only to collect information to enable the Government of India to plan for the return of Indians from abroad under lockdown.

Meanwhile, family members of an Indian industrialist, who committed suicide in Dubai, on Thursday became the first passengers to be allowed to fly out of the UAE.
