Diwali is almost here and we are brimming with excitement but who is worried about gaining weight during the festival? I am sure most of us are worried about it owing to all the munching on delicious Diwali sweets and snacks. It is the reason that I am here with an article where I will mention 10 ways to eat sweets and not gain weight.
1. Sweets Detox
Do you eat sweets on a regular basis? If someone does not eat sweets on a regular basis, then they can enjoy the festival season and simply go back to not eating sweets once it is over. In case you are worried that you have been munching on sweets for long, then make sure to do a sweet detox post Diwali.
2. Additional Exercise
If you are someone who works out on a regular basis, then you can just hit the treadmill for an extra 10 minutes the next day or make it a routine for the Diwali week. However, if you are not a regular person, then you can do a 30 minute walk and 100 jumping jacks for the Diwali week.
3. Warm Lemon Water
In addition to everything mentioned above, you can drink a glass of warm water with lemon juice in it to facilitate your digestive system. You can do this once in the morning on an empty stomach and maybe after a heavy meal also.
4. Less Quantity More Variety
I understand that you have your favourites but always fill your plate with variety and not quantity. This way, you can always save yourself from overeating and getting those extra inches which aren’t even the happy ones.
5. Re-fill Your Plate
Whenever given the choice, always fill your plate with less quantity of food items. This way, you will always have room for something new coming up. In case there is nothing new coming up, you can always re-fill the items you liked the most.
