8 Bollywood Movies With Bad IMDb Rating But Actually Good Content

The audience’s mandate is one of the most trusted ones including when it comes to Bollywood movies. But with the trend of people calling to boycott anything and everything citing nepotism, it’s pretty difficult to suspect if public reviews about so and so movie is driven by their understanding of it or their penchant to boycott it for the satisfaction they seek.

Well, if nothing else, the current trend inspired us to go back in time to scoop out some of the worst-rated movies in Bollywood, which we believe are not as bad as their ratings suggest. Have a look:

1. Son Of Sardar – IMDb rating 4

Son Of Sardar, starring Ajay Devgun, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, entertains a rating of 4 on IMDb. However, if you ask us, the movie is pretty fun to watch and honestly, doesn’t bores you. We would easily give it a 6-star.

2. Tees Maar Khan – IMDb rating 2.5

An IMDb rating of 2.5 doesn’t do justice with Tees Mar Khan. Yes, it is bad but not as bad as Salman’s Tubelight that has a better rating of 3.9. Tees Maar Khan actually keeps you hooked or maybe it has something to do with my love for comedy movies.

3. Ek Paheli Leela – IMDb rating 3.7

One movie with the punar janam concept intact I would love watching is Ek Paheli Leela. The movie is more than Sunny Leone’s bold scenes and actually allows a time-passable story. It surely deserves a rating of 5-6 stars.

4. Ra-One – IMDb rating 4.7

Starring Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead, Ra One actually makes it to the list not for my love for it but for the popularity it gained when it was released. It was like the Bahubali 2 of that time when you consider the people who had hoped to theaters to watch it. So with that popularity intact a 4.7 rating?

5. Blue – IMDb rating 3.7

Seen Blue starring the likes of Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Katrina Kaif and more? Well, the suspense intact kept me hooked. Thus I believe it deserves a better rating than this.

6. Action Replayy – IMDb rating 4.2

We were stunned to find out that Action Replayy entertains an IMDb rating of a mere 4.2. Dude, it’s an 11. Like the whole script, in addition to the good it brings out of the characters, is a must-watch and surely one of the best Bollywood movies.

7. Sadak 2 – IMDb rating 1.1

Yes, we know Sadak 2 isn’t the best that Bollywood has to offer and surely stands nowhere when compared with Sadak but a rating of 1.1 is way too low. It could have easily grabbed a rating of 4-5 had it not been targeted for nepotism. As far as the content is concerned, it’s bearable.

8. Khatta Meetha – IMDb rating 4.8

Even an IMDb rating of 4.8 isn’t justifiable for the fun movie that Khatta Meetha is. Like it personally makes me pause for a bit every time it’s running on TV. And we hope you share the same thought just for the sake of Johnny Lever’s exceptional acting in the movie.
