80% Fall In WhatsApp’s Download In India Post Spyware News: Report

WhatsApp has seen a fall of 80% in its downloads in India since the news of Pegasus Spyware become public says a report. The number of downloads fell to 1.3 million during a nine-day period from October 26 and November 3.

The report multiplied the tensions of WhatsApp who is already facing criticism for the spyware attack and is asked to give an explanation by the Indian government. Meanwhile, the messaging app has maintained its stand that the safety and security of its users remains a top priority.

Meanwhile, similar apps like Telegram and Signal have seen a rise in the number of there downloads during the period said the report.
