Aadhaar Card Update News: Aadhaar card has become one of the most necessary documents in India. It is required at different places, such as withdrawal of funds, apply for an online application, etc. UIDAI always comes with new features and updates. This time, UIDAI introduced a new feature to change or update a new mobile phone number to your aadhaar card.

Till now, people were seen linking or updating their mobile number by using the Service Update Portal (SSUP) or through the Aadhaar enrolment center or Local Permanent Enrolment Centre. But now, you can simply follow the below-given steps to change or add a mobile number.

Here Is How To Change or Add Your Mobile Number With Aadhaar

If you are an aadhaar holder and want to change or update a new mobile number to your aadhaar, then simply follow these steps.

Step 1: Open UIDAI web portal 

Step 2: Now, just enter the phone number you want to update and enter the captcha in the relevant boxes.

Step 3: After this, click on the ‘Send OTP’ option and enter the OTP sent to your number.

Step 4: Hit the ‘Submit OTP & Proceed’ option.

Step 5: Then, click on the ‘Online Aadhaar Services’ from the menu dropdown.

Step 6: Click on the option and then the details needed to be filled in accordingly and the option ‘what do you want to update’, needs to be selected.

Step 7: After the mobile number is submitted, a new page will show up and a captcha needs to be entered.

Step 8: This will result in an OTP being sent to your number. Verify the OTP and click on ‘Save and Proceed’.

Step 9: After this, you need to book an appointment online to go to the nearest Aadhaar center to pay Rs 25 fees and provide any additional information that may be required.
