Air India Will Be Made Financially Fit With Spot On Service

N Chandrasekaran has set down a roadmap that management will focus to make Air India technologically advanced, financially fit with a spot on customer service. He has said that we will bring new fleets and upgrade existing aircrafts to make it one of the most technologically advanced airlines in the world.

Chandrasekaran was recently reappointed as Chairman of Tata Group because of his exemplary leadership. He attended a virtual meeting with employees of Air India from around the world. There will be huge transformation and organization will be redesigned. He said, “require a huge transformation, probably the largest transformation and the change all of you would ever go through.”

The outreach of airline carriers will be increased both internationally and domestically. Chandrasekaran has said that Air India will allow Tata Group to touch lives of 130 crore Indians. Tata Group has multiple brands like Westside, Tanishq, Tata Salt, Titan and more that serve more than 60 crore Indians everyday.

The four focus areas of Tata Group under new management will be providing best customer service, modernizing and upgrading the existing fleets and adding more technology for great hospitality both in and off flight.

Chandrasekaran said that we are not adding more fleets to increase the number of flights on existing destinations. Air India will also explore new destinations for customers and make it more popular in the world. Currently there are 15000 employees in Air India, Air India Express and AI-SATS out of which 8000 are permanent employees. The meeting was attended by more than 10000 employees from around the world.

He said, “We will do that by ensuring that we bring in the best of technology in every aspect of Air India — be it in terms of apps, website, mobile channel, social media, Tata NEU app, whatever may be digital reach that we will have to provide for consumers to access Air India, or in our front office systems or back office systems.”

New age technologies like machine learning, artificial intelligence will be employed to offer personalized experiences to the passengers. People have great faith in Tata for over a century and the company will make sure that it brings same quality, trust, reliability and consistency to Air India.

According to Chandrasekaran airline will need huge transformations and company is set for it. He said, “we will embark upon many changes, organizational redesign, process changes, digitizing of all our processes and many other changes in individual departments and teams.”
