Trading in cryptocurrency reached greater heights and the investors hope that coming years will be rewarding for them. Many platforms are trying to offer services to customers that will allow them to make crypto payments.
Airbnb, is an accommodation booking platform. You can book for homestays and hotels for few days to months. It is very popular among young people today. People were actively doing staycations last year where they go to someplace and stay for long time. During such getaway people take their work with them as well.
Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb said that users want the company to launch a feature in which they can pay through cryptocurrency in 2022. He recently conducted a survey on Twitter and results were not surprising. Young people have invested a lot of hard earned money on crypto and they wish to see adaption of it in different channels.

Chesky asked Twitter users, “If Airbnb could launch anything in 2022, what would it be?” Two days later, he posted the results by sifting through the nearly 4,000 suggestions he received. The top six were:
1. Crypto payments
2. Clear pricing displays
3. Guest loyalty program
4. Updated cleaning fees
5. More long-term stays & discounts
6. Better customer service
The 40-year-old billionaire CEO said he is already working on most of them and he will look into others now.
Chesky said his company, which currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal as payment methods, has seen a payments volume worth $336 billion since 2013. Many users suggested that he should start by accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum and Shiba Inu.
Crypto payments for accommodation are also welcomed by many users because sometimes it gets difficult to make international payments. This issue will be resolved.
The CEO of Airbnb also showed interest in bringing crypto payments on the booking platform last year in September and people have been continuously asking him to make some announcement about the move.
