India’s new Airline company Akasa Air revealed the uniform of their crew members on Monday. The company claims that its uniforms are environment-friendly.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala being the major investor in the project is expected that the airline will begin its services in July 2022. As per Akasa, the uniform is focused on aesthetics, is eco-friendly, and reflects the happy personality of the crew members. The company took it to its Twitter handle to share the details about the design, the fabric used and how is the fabric made.“Akasa Crew Look, comfortable, eco-friendly and fun. Presenting the all-new Akasa Air crew uniforms designed to keep our organization’s core value of putting the comfort of our employees and the environment first,” the tweet read.
Claims About Uniform
The uniform of the company includes custom trousers, jackets, and comfortable sneakers for its in-flight crew. It is also supported by the lightweight sneakers designed by Vanilla Moon. As per the claims, the sole of the sneakers has been made from recycled rubber without using plastic. The crew uniform has been created using recycled polyester fabric, which is made from pet bottle plastic salvaged from marine waste, has been used, says the company.
Designer Jackets and Trousers

He is the co-founder and Chief Marketing & Experience Officer of Akasa Air. The jackets and the trousers of the company have been designed by Delhi-based fashion designer Rajesh Pratap Singh. Talking about the same, Rajesh said,” These uniforms are a perfect amalgamation of style and sustainability and reflect Akasa Air’s core values. From concept to the final outcome, it has been an exciting journey for me to work on these designs and present one of the most unique, sustainable and functional uniforms of our times,”
Akasa Airlines is waiting to operate and gain its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) needed for commercial launch.
