After literally occupying the online shopping arena, Amazon is all set to venture into one of the most money-making businesses in India, online education. The news is that Amazon.com will soon be not just a place where you go shopping but also a space where you go for preparing for JEE.
Amazon India has launched its Amazon Academy App to let students prepare for JEE. At the initial stages of the launch, the app is offering JEE preparatory resources, including mock tests, for free to each and every student.
The great thing about these tests is that they have over 15,000 questions that have been prepared by industry experts. Besides the answers to these questions, the app will also have an explanation of how one got to the same answer for better clarity and understanding.
When it comes to the content on the app, it has also been prepared by industry experts from around the nation. Amazon claims that the app will not only help JEE aspirants but will also help students who are preparing for BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMJEEE and MET exams.
The content on the app, as of now, can be scooped for free and will remain free for the coming few months.
The app was launched last year with a different name – Amazon JEE – which has been now been changed to better compliment the variety of courses available on the app.
Amol Gurwara, Director, Education at Amazon India, said, “Amazon Academy aims to bring high quality, affordable education to all, starting with those preparing for engineering entrance examinations. Our mission is to help students achieve their outcomes while also empowering educators and content partners to reach millions of students.”
“Our primary focus has been on content quality, deep learning analytics and student experience. This launch will help engineering aspirants prepare better and achieve the winning edge in JEE,” he added.
