Amidst Violence CBSE Postpones Exams Till 29th Feb, CM Kejriwal Announces Rs 10 Lakhs Compensation To Families

As the incidents of violence and disturbance continue to surface in the North East Delhi the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to postpone exams in the centers of North East Delhi till 29th February.

In an official notice, CBSE said that exams till the 29th February stand postpone in Delhi’s North East region. Further, the board said that the normal schedule of the exam would follow from 2nd March.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakhs each to families of those who have died. He further said that those affected can get free treatment at any private hospital under Delhi Govt’s ‘Farishte’ scheme.

He further said that any person who is found guilty should be given stringent punishment. “If any Aam Aadmi Party person is found guilty then that person should be given double the punishment. There should be no politics on the issue of national security”, said CM Kejriwal.

So, far on Thursday, the situation was under control after the visit of NSA Ajit Doval yesterday. The name of Aam Aadmi Party leader Tahir Hussain was doing the rounds due to his alleged involvement.

Hussain is alleged of inticing the violence and causing the death of IB official Ankit Sharam. Sharma’s body was found dumped in a drain yesterday.
