What’s the job of a policeman?
To protect people, to arrest criminals and maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the respective state or city. Right? Wrong. A few cops from the Punjab police department think otherwise.
According to them, they are the policemen who aren’t meant to do the cliched things that cops do. They believe that they have the cards to change the police department game altogether. So, instead of protecting, they steal. Yeah, I know you might have heard about cops taking bribe but these guys just took it to a whole new level.
What were the Amritsar cops up to?
In Amritsar, a video recently went viral which clearly shows cops stealing oil from a truck. The cop is shown taking out oil from the truck into a gallon.
Once the gallon is full, he walks towards his jeep (in a zig-zag kind of way).
The video also claims that the cop in the video is an Assistant sub-inspector of police. WTF, right?

To be honest, when I saw the video, the cop looked pretty drunk to me. I mean look at the way the cop is walking.
Moreover, it seemed he had no idea that someone was recording the whole scenario. That too proves that he might have been under the influence of alcohol. (Ehem, ehem…. its Punjab – so, no comments on that one).

Has the police department taken any action?
I don’t know if the specific cop from the video have been suspended or not, but I am sure that when the department comes across this viral video, they will take required actions against them.
On the other hand, I am sure that the ASI must be sulking in a dark corner thinking about his careless actions, only if he is done with the hangover from that day. And I guess, this is the first case where cops stealing oil were captured on camera.
In Conclusion:
But what I am more interested in, is the story that he comes up with once he is questioned about the whole incident. I already feel that it is going to be an interesting one.
