Apple to Soon Offer a Bezel Less Full Display iPhone

The first slim, sleek and modernly designed smartphone Apple released was iPhone X in 2017. Its relatively thick notch display hid the selfie camera, sensor and face id. It looked very cool then, especially when Apple removed the home button, which also worked as the fingerprint sensor. The design was so likeable the company did not change it or make minor changes until iPhone 14 series arrived. With this latest series, we got a ‘dynamic island,’ a changed notch and an overall elegant design. However, now Apple wants to outdate both notch and bezels. Very soon, we are going to see an edge-to-edge display smartphone.

Apple is Working on a Bezel-less and Notch Display Smartphone

Apple works with two giant corporations, Samsung and LG, to design a bezel and notch-less display smartphone. The company will still use an OLED display, which has been installed since the launch of the iPhone 12 series. As per the reports, the company wants to keep using flat displays, unlike the other companies using curve displays for their medium-budget smartphones.

Apple’s ambitious plan involves placing the camera and essential sensors beneath the screen, aiming for a bezel-less design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4. This requires tackling challenges like thin film encapsulation (TFE) and under-panel camera (UPC) technologies. Xiaomi also showcased a concept smartphone with Quad Curved Waterfall Display tech in 2021, offering an immersive look. The race for cutting-edge displays intensifies as Apple leads toward a stunning, boundary-pushing smartphone era.

The launch details for the upcoming notch-less, bezel-less iPhone is still uncertain, but it is speculated that Apple may take approximately a year to adopt this specific design. The highly anticipated iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series will be unveiled in September. According to various leaks, all four iPhones in the series will retain the exact display sizes as their predecessors: 6.1 inches for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

One notable feature across the new phones this year is the introduction of a dynamic island notch. This innovative design element will allow the notch to adjust its size dynamically based on the notifications and other on-screen content, providing a more seamless and immersive user experience. As the launch date approaches, Apple fans eagerly await the official announcement and further details about these exciting new iPhone models.
