In Pics: Asia’s Biggest Tulip Garden In Srinagar Is Now Open For Tourists

If you seek to behold something really mesmerizing, you must make your way to Srinagar. The state of Jammu and Kashmir and within it, Srinagar, is currently hosting Asia’s biggest Tulip garden in full bloom. As many as 1.5 million tulips have bloomed in the garden making the place a sight to behold.

The garden is spread near the bank of river Dal Lake in the foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range. These tulips come to carry a full bloom during the springtime every year here.

It is this time when the garden is opened for visitors as they come in plenty to see behold the same. The garden will remain open for a week or two.

These tulips blooming in the garden are of different colours including red, purple, yellow and more. They only add flavour and scent to Srinagar’s ‘Paradise on earth’ tag.

Farooq Ahmad, Director Floriculture, said the garden will open to the public on March 25 and a record number of tulips will bloom this year. 

Even the PM of India took on Twitter to share a picture of the garden urging people to go and behold the same on their own.
