Assembly Elections 2022: State Wise Schedule Details

Assembly Elections 2022 are going to be held in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur, Goa and Uttarakhand. The election dates were announced on Saturday by Election Commission of India.

Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra addressed a press conference regarding the phases of elections. He said that voting in Uttar Pradesh will take place in seven phases starting from February 10. Voting will take place in two phases in Manipur from February 27. In Punjab, Goa and Uttarakhand voting will be conducted in single phase on February 14.

The results of Assembly Elections will be declared on March 10.

The model code of conduct (Section 144) issued by Election Commission will be followed by political parties and candidates. The guidelines are in respect to polling day, speeches, portfolios, polling booths, election manifestos, processions and general conduct. The guidelines will come in effect from today and state police will ensure law and order in the states.
