The world is full of predators, especially when it is seen from the point of view of a woman.
For us, a quiet and beautiful park, a lonely beach, a starlit night in a forest are all terror zones. All across the globe. And it’s not even funny. For men, its a matter of choice that they don’t step out to gaze at the stars at a clear night. But for us, it’s not even an option.
If we dare try any such stunt to seek adventure, to experience nature’s peace; we end up getting molested, raped or killed. And it’s the same all over the world. Isn’t that a pity?
Everyone everywhere is suffering from this unspeakable crime, which has forced us females to make changes in our lifestyle. The way we dress, the way we plan our day, the path we choose to walk home, the time we pick for shopping, everything revolves around one basic goal,’ To be safe and not get sexually assaulted.’
The social researcher, Jackson Katz came up with the idea to understand what is this all about and how is it affecting the women altogether. But when she asked men and women what they did on a daily basis to avoid being ‘sexually assaulted’, the variation in responses appalled her.
Here are the responses of women from around the world about the things that they use to stay safe and avoid being a victim of sexual assault.
It saddens me to the core because I too use many of the mentioned methods to keep me safe, daily.

In Conclusion:
There are in fact several more of such confessions, but I guess it will take ages to jot them all down. It’s a shame that we females have to change the course of our lives, our nature and the men bask in the glory of freedom.
I still dream of the time, when I can have a walk on the beach, without having to look back every second.
