What is a bad gut feeling?
Sometimes you feel that something is wrong with your stomach. There might be the sensation of bloating and fatigue accompanied by confusion. Often, this feeling is associated with a bad gut feeling but could also be a disease called Candidiasis.
Most people often end up vomiting and suffer from massive headaches, diarrhea, oral thrush, and rectal itching. The reason behind this is a disturbance in the microbiome, which provides immunity against infections. When the balance is disturbed, it leads the yeast overgrowth and hence ends up compromising your gut.
Other symptoms of Candidiasis
Heartburn, skin rashes, cramps, oral thrush or frequent infections are also symptoms of yeast overgrowth. As it grows inside the body, the digestive tract gets affected along with the mouth and throat area. In case of excess overgrowth, urinary tract, sinuses, lungs, conjunctiva, skin, and nails get affected too as it is present inside them too.
What promotes bad gut feeling?
The yeast growth is at its peak when there is sugar in the surroundings. So, if you love sugar candies, sugary drinks, and sweet smoothies and sodas, you are most likely helping the overgrowth yourself.
Some people who suffer from mild infections live along without even getting the idea that something is wrong with their immune system. However, in the later stages, it can promote serious illnesses like- arthritis, inflammatory & auto-immune disorders, and even cancer.
It is suggested that consumption of excessively processed food, sugary items and antacids also leads to yeast overgrowth.
How to treat Candidiasis?
The most common treatment for yeast overgrowth is anti-fungal therapy. It is by far the most used, though, it has certain side effects. The reason behing this is the presence of various strains of candida yeast in the body. There are other anti-fungal drugs available that can be used to get rid of candidiasis.
