BHU Stops Offline Classes As Covid Cases Resurge

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) stops offline classes as covid cases in the city is increasing day by day. Students can opt for online classes.

The spokesperson for Banaras Hindu University says that students may return to their homes. The university has made this decision after noticing a rise in Covid cases within the city.

Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad urged people to follow the Uttar Pradesh Covid Safety Protocols. He also said the Covid-19 cases are increasing rapidly and the risk of death is high. Moreover, he said that 4 deaths are recorded in the past 24 hours and the death count is now reached 8, 764.

The University officials said the further announcement will take after analysing the situation till the first week of April. Based on the assessment of State Covid bulletins, Uttar Pradesh records the highest cases since January 8 In the past 24 hours. We register a total of 638 fresh cases within 24 hours in UP.
