Mumbai, the country’s financial hub, recently launched the BEST Chalo Airport Express, marking a major achievement in transportation. To address the various difficulties faced by passengers on their airport excursions, BEST Chalo Airport Express was officially launched on February 7.
These buses are set to completely change how people view public transportation since they provide a standard of service that is on a level with airports in the world’s most important cities in many different ways. The official statement released by the company, states that these buses provide a smooth and seamless airport transit experience, with service quality on par with that of some of the world’s top cities.
After a successful run of public trials, the service—which seeks to reduce traffic congestion in Mumbai—is now formally operating on four routes, with hopes to expand soon.
The Airport Express, which now operates 230 daily flights to and from the airport, plans to increase its capacity in the upcoming months. Significantly, the service is moving toward more environmentally friendly transportation; by March 2024, it hopes to have 50% of its buses run on electricity.
The Airport Express runs buses every day of the week, Monday through Sunday, at 30-minute intervals from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM, to guarantee a smooth travel experience. All parts of Mumbai, including Colaba, Borivali, Thane, and Kharghar, would be connected to the airport via it.
