Everyone is waiting eagerly for May 23rd. After all, that is the day when the fate of Indian politics for the next 5 years will be declared.
No wonder, every single party is trying hard to bag in as many votes and candidates to win it all. But of course, BJP again seems to rule the charts by staying ahead of the game as always.
BJP will host a dinner party today
BJP chief Amit Shah is all set to host a dinner for NDA allies tonight. It will be preceded by PM Modi himself as he will go on meeting his ministerial colleagues at the party headquarters.
Predication is that Modi will comfortably get a second term in office. Adhering to the same, Shah has invited all NDA allies for a meeting which will end with a dinner.
The talks of allies and BJP
All the leaders of alliance partners have already reached the capital by morning. Interestingly, Shah has already declared that NDA would form the government no matter what. Even if BJP on its own gets a majority in the Lok Sabha, they will go ahead with their plan.
On the other hand, Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) is likely to join BJP government if there is a positive verdict about BJP on May 23. Just so you know, JD(U) wasn’t part of the outgoing Modi government and Nitish’s party contested from 17 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
Other crucial parties
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and a few senior leaders of the AIADMK and leaders of all other NDA partners will also take part from Tamil Nadu.
Going by the words of BJP chief, they aren’t reaching out to any political party outside the NDA. “The prime minister will essentially thank members of the council of ministers for works done as a team in the last five years,” said a senior BJP member.
BJP is ready to taste power once again
According to another BJP official, “The Election Commission will submit the list of elected members of Lok Sabha by May 25 to President Ram Nath Kovind. Around the same time, the incumbent government will call the last Cabinet meeting and adopt two proposals — to dissolve the 16th Lok Sabha and summon a two-day session of the 17th Lok Sabha for swearing in of the new members.”
As exit polls suggest, it is going be “Ek bar fir Modi sarkar” and this dinner is just a step closer to the celebrations.
