Can’t Find Your WhatsApp Messages? Now Search Them by Date

Having problems finding old messages in your WhatsApp chat? Don’t worry, Meta is planning to save you the trouble. The latest 23.1.75 update for both Android and iOS users, will make the user interface advanced enough for a convenient massage experience. A streak of new features recently added to the instant messaging platform, involves the message-yourself feature, search-by-date option, drag-and-drop image sharing, etc.

New Update to Let Users Find WhatsApp Messages Faster

The new update will arrive with two main abilities, which are searching messages by date and dragging & drop images, videos and documents from other applications. Now, as per the description provided by the company, WhatsApp will let you search for any particular message by jumping to a date in the calendar.

“‘Search by date’ is now supported from within chat search. Tap ‘Search’ from contact or group info and select the ‘calendar’ icon to toggle to date picker,” reads the description released by WhatsApp.

So, How to Use the WhatsApp Messages Search Feature?

  • First, launch your WhatsApp and land into any chat you want to search for a message from.
  • Click on search messages, and tap on the calendar icon placed at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Next, choose the date for the message you want to find.
  • After that tap on ‘Jump to date‘, and WhatsApp will redirect you to the messages that you wanted to find.

In addition to this, WhatsApp will also allow users to drag images, messages, videos and documents from another app directly into their chats. “You can now use drag & drop to share images, videos and documents from other apps (eg. Safari, Photos, Files) to WhatsApp chats,” as the description reads
