Cats make the world a happy place and we are pretty sure they must be popular among other animals too. So with that much popularity intact, how can humans not love the amazing animals that cats are?
And if you do too, then you ought to visit this cat temple in Japan.
Nyan Nyan Ji, translated in English as Meow Meow Shrine, is a famous cat shrine located in Kyoto, Japan. The shrine has cats playing as head monks and assistants and they are too adorable to handle.
A cat named Koyuki is the head monk of the temple. Koyuki’s owner says that she loves interacting with her “worshippers”.
The cat temple was opened back in 2016 and is pretty popular among the visitors. The temple was erected by painter Toru Kaya and has statutes and paintings of cats and lots of cats.
Also, there is food available for cat visitors inside the temple and visitors can also shop for souvenirs from the ‘Littlefootmark Ren’ shop.
Seven cats work at the temple- Koyuki, Waka, Chin, Aruji, Ren, Konatsu and Chicchi. And that’s one place I’m adding to my itinerary.
