How your aadhar can be misused?

If the sensitive information of your aadhar falls into wrong hands then the person can use it against you. There are many reasons for a person to misuse your aadhar. And for this reason, UiDAI has launched the facility for you to check when and where your aadhar was used. Even UIDAI also provide a feature for you to lock or unlock your aadhar card.

Steps to follow to know when and where your Aadhar was used:

  • Go to the official government site uidai.gov.in.
  • The home page will appear, click on Aadhar ‘Authentication History’ which you will find under Aadhar services.
  • Fill in the required information and after that, you will receive an OTP.
  • After filling your OTP, you will have to set some filters like date range and authentication type.
  • After completing these steps with full verification, the list of the last six months of aadhar usage will appear.
