Christmas Drinks: Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Options

Are you ready to welcome the festive season with complete enthusiasm and hunger for special dishes? I am sure you are but there is one thing I like to put a lot of emphasis on and it is the Christmas Drinks. I believe that we tend to miss out on the drinks while most of the focus stays on preparing the food menu.

Let us chuck that out and give special attention to our drink menu too. Here are some of the Christmas Drinks that you can make with or without alcohol. I have also mentioned the recipes of these drinks so that you do not have to explore the details.

  • Sanding sugar, for rimming glass
  • Lime slices, for garnish
  • Cranberries, for garnish

In a blender, blend coconut milk, cream of coconut, tequila, triple sec, lime juice and ice until smooth.

As shown in the picture, rim the glasses with a lime wedge to stick sanding sugar.

2. Eggnog

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp. the ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish

Now add the hot milk concoction to the egg yolks in batches. Slowly temper the eggs and keep whisking until combined.

Pour it back into the saucepan and cook over medium flame to make it slightly thick.

Do not let it boil but ensure that it coats the back of the spoon.

Remove the mixture from the heat and add heavy cream to it.

If you want to convert it into a cocktail, add bourbon or rum.

Refrigerate to serve it chilled. Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon while serving.
