CICSE Allows Class 10th And 12th Students To Skip Their Remaining ‘Board Exams’

While concerned parents have filed a petition against CBSE  who is set to conduct pending board exams next month CICSE has taken some tensions off. The board who would also be taking the pending exams next month has given students the option to skip those exams.

The board has said that students who skip the exams would be assessed on pre-board and internal assessments. CICSE is also facing a petition from the side of parents in Bombay High court demanding cancellation of the exams. To this, the board has submitted the proposal of skipping the exams in front of the court. The students will have to communicate their option to their respective schools by June 22, said Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

That is a student can either opt to take the exam or can go by skipping and getting evaluated based on his/her previous performances. CICSE is to conduct all the pending exams delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown from 1st to 14th July. The board also clarified that the students will not be entitled to make a subject-wise choice between the two options for pending exams.
