Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that people should stick to the Covid-19 safety measures if the state is to continue lockdown. He also said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was in support to extend the Maharashtra lockdown if the fresh Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

Meanwhile, he defended the state’s response in terms of rising cases and said that many states are at worse. Rajesh Tope met the CM two days ago. As per the news agency PTI reports, the minister said that “He told me that if the number of daily cases in the state remains in the range of 25,000 to 30,000 for the next some days, then we will have to take some stringent steps. He believes that if the numbers continue to increase, we will have to impose lockdown in some cities”.
