India has been witnessing from 25000 to 40000 fresh Covid-19 cases every day in the past weeks. In the last 24 hours, India has registered 34,457 new cases and 375 deaths. However, some states are raising concerns for the third wave of Covid-19. The country is at the tail end of the Coronavirus second wave, during which we noticed a severe shortage of hospital beds, medicines, and oxygen cylinders.
In case, if the third wave hits India, things might get difficult if adequate measures, precautions, and safety measures are not in place. However, on Friday, the country gave emergency-use authorization to Zydus Cadila’s COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine requires three doses for an individual to be fully vaccinated. This vaccine can be used to vaccinate adults as well as children above the age of 12 years.
The Health Ministry states, “India reported 34,457 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the overall Covid-19 tally to 3,23,93,286 on Saturday, while the number of active cases declined to 3,61,340, the lowest in 151 days, according to data from the health ministry on Saturday.
