Cricket In Times Of Corona: After West Indies, Pakistan Prepares To Tour England, Names Squad For The Tour

Taking courage from the West Indies team that arrived for a historic test match series in England amidst pandemic on Tuesday Pakistan is doing preparations. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is looking to move forward with its tour of England.

The PCB has named 29-member Pakistan squad for 3 Tests and as many T20Is against England. The series is to be played in the months of August-September. While the touring West Indies team would play only test cricket Pakistan would be there for both the longest and shortest format of the game.

Pakistan has named Under-19 batsman Haider Ali in the squad. Besides Haider, Kashif Bhatti is the other uncapped player in the side. He was earlier in the Test squad against Australia and Sri Lanka but did not play and was probable for the Bangladesh Test which was canceled due to pandemic.

As per ongoing discussion, the team has also named COVID-19 reserves in the team. The series would be first for Pakistan since March. England meanwhile, is making sure about the safety standards for the upcoming series. The display of it would happen next month in the West Indies series.
