Delhi Polls Date Announced, Results On February 11

As many as 1,46,92,136 have been reported eligible to vote in the upcoming Delhi elections on February 8, 2020, the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Sunil Arora said. The counting of the votes will begin on February 11th. The Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party remains the sole contender for the CM post in the Capital followed by BJP and Congress.

To note, AAP had won 67 seats out of 70 in the 2015 election while BJP won the remaining three and Congress couldn’t open its account. As many as 90,000 officials will be deployed to conduct the elections across 13,750 polling stations that will be set up for the same. The term of current Delhi assembly expires on February 22, 2020.
