Delhi Metro Is In Preparation To Soon Get Back ‘On Tracks’?

The lifeline of Delhi the very own ‘Delhi Metro’ may soon get back on tracks. The popular public transport which is at a standstill since 22nd March can soon be seen carrying the Delhiites to there destinations. The DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is working on cleaning & maintenance.

Specially trained housekeeping staff are deployed in stations to clean passenger movement areas and associated equipment such as AFC gates, lifts, and escalators to begin safe operations“, tweeted the DMRC on Monday. This lead to the speculations that the operation would soon begin.

However, the DMRC has clarified that the date of resumption of services has still not been finalized and will be notified to the public in due course. The DMRC said that 264 stations over 2200 coaches and over 1100 escalators and 1000 lifts are to undergo cleaning & maintenance procedures. This would take time. However, there are chances of metro services getting resumed in lockdown 4.0.
