Delhi Metro: Know Changes For R-Day

Delhi Metro services on Yellow Line between HUDA City Centre and Samaypur Badli will be restricted on January 26 on account of security reasons for Republic Day Celebrations. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation released the news on Monday January 24.

All Entry and Exit gates at Udyog Bhawan and Central Secretariat will be closed till noon. However, passengers will be able to interchange between Yellow Line and Violet Line. The entry and exit gates at Lok Kalyan Marg and Patel Chowk will also be closed.

The parking spaces at all metro stations will be closed from 6 AM on January 25 (Tuesday) till 5 PM on January 26 (Wednesday).

Metro services for Udyog Bhawan and Central Secretariat will also be shut on January 29 from 2 PM to 6:30 PM. This is done on account of Beating Retreat Ceremony. But passengers will be able to avail interchange service during their travels.

Beating Retreat Ceremony is held every year on January 29. It is a part of culmination of celebrations of Republic Day. This year there will be Drone Laser Show with 1000 drones for 10 mins on Rajpath along with other programs.

All the passengers should plan their travels accordingly and prevent themselves from the hassle. People are advised to not step outside if not essential.
