Delhi University Would Conduct Semester Exams Online

Ending the confusion of around 54,000 students Delhi University (DU) made an important announcement on Thursday. The University released its new plan for conducting internal assessments, practical, theory exams amidst the pandemic enforced lockdown.

The University has decided to conduct the exams online. The decision comes at a time when the UGC (University Grant Commission) has issued a new academic calendar for the year. The UGC has also called for final year students semester exams to be conducted in July.

As per DU’s new notification, teachers would give out assignments to students through email, and students have to submit the solved assignments through email. This would be for the internal assessment of students. Viva-Voce of students would be conducted through Skype The end semester exams would be open book exams.

Online open book examination would be conducted for both regular and students of the School of Open Learning and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board. The dean of the University has asked the teachers to prepare the question papers by the 1st week of June. Other universities like the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (AKTU) also released their exam dates.
