Domestic Flights To Resume Operations From 25th May, Says Civil Aviation Ministry

As the talks were going on the resumption of domestic flight services the government has made it official. Late on Wednesday, the Union Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted to make the announcement. With the railways already running with some special and other trains flights would operate from 25th May.

However, not full-scale operations would begin from 25th May. The minister has said that resumption would take place in calibrated. This means like trains initially only a few flights on selected routes would operate. The details would come about it soon.

Domestic civil aviation operations will recommence in a calibrated manner from Monday 25th May 2020. All airports & air carriers are being informed to be ready for operations from 25th May“, tweeted the civil aviation minister.

The Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) has also been released by the ministry for the operation of flights. Meanwhile, the national carrier Air India is already engaged in international evacuation under ‘Vande Bharat Mission’.
