Validity of Learners License and Driving License in Delhi has been extended by two months. The driving licenses that were expiring between February 1, 2020 and January 31, 2022 has been extended till March 31, 2022.
Kailash Gehlot, Delhi Transport Minister made the announcement on Twitter by saying that Delhi government has always stood tall with people. His tweet was in Hindi which translates as, “Keeping in mind the interest of the general public of Delhi, the Transport Department has decided to extend the validity of all learning licenses and driving licenses for the next three months i.e. up to 31.03.2022.”
Earlier also the validity of Learner’s license was extended until January 31, 2022. This was done because many learner license holders were not able to book online slots for testing their driving skill test. Apart from that the number of applicants with soon to be expiring learner’s license was far more than the number of slots that could be offered for driving skill test.
