The Employee’s Provident Fund Organisation allots the UAN or Universal Account Number. The EPFO has recently tweeted informing EPFO members that they can now update bank details in PF UAN. Also, the members can get details about this process from the official EPFO website.
In the tweet, EPFO said, “Know the simple steps through which #employees can easily update their Bank Account Details in #UAN.”
Three Steps To Update Bank Account Details With UAN
To update your bank account details with UAN, you must follow three simple steps. They are –
Step 1: The first step is to visit the ‘Unified Member Portal‘ and log in with UAN and password
Step 2: Then, hit on the ‘Manage‘ tab and choose the ‘KYC‘ option from the drop-down menu
Step 3: In the end, select ‘Documents‘ and enter ‘Bank account number‘ and IFSC and click the ‘Save‘ option.
The PF holders may also note that it will show that ‘KYC pending for approval’ after the submission of the new bank details. Now, one has to forward the documents to the employer. After verification of the documents by the employer, the ‘KYC pending for approval‘ status will get the change to ‘Digitally Approved KYC‘.
Members holding State Bank of India (SBI) bank account will get the KYC done digitally by the bank. Once the verification process is done, the members will get a confirmation message from EPFO.
