JKNPP organised the function on its 40th foundation day. Bhim Singh (JKNPP founder) was solidly elected its president for the upcoming three years. Farooq said, “We must strengthen our parties and stand united for our country and our people. Also, we have to fight against the powers who want to divide and break us.” Speaking about the Jammu & Kashmir bifurcation into J&K and Ladakh, he said that you have divided the regions but our heart remains the same.

Farooq Abdullah said, “Why not I am a Muslim and he a Hindu his voice is the same as is mine and his god is also the same as mine.”

Attacking Bharatiya Janta Party, Abdullah said they (BJP) are best at spreading propaganda. Previously, they said that Rohingya Muslims will take your land and will force you out. We said that no one is going to take no one’s land and no people will come to live here without the permission of Delhi. They misled the people. Now, they will come and say that Ram is in danger. They will never tell you they are fear to lose their chair.
