Filmmaker ‘Ram Gopal Verma’ Plays ‘Foolish’ April Fool Prank Only To Get Criticism, Apologizes Later On

Controversial filmmaker ‘Ram Gopal Verma’ once again got into the news for bad reasons. Keeping on his habit of hitting controversy he made a tweet yesterday that attracted criticism. Yesterday on 1st April that is April Fool’s day he made a prank related to COVID-19.

Verma tweeted that he is tested COVID-19 positive. This sent panic amongst his followers and well-wishers. The producer tweeted, “My doctor just told me that I tested positive with Corona“. Many started asking about his well-being only to face the reality that it’s a prank. Minutes later Verma made a tweet clarifying that it was a prank.

The filmmaker blamed his doctor saying that it was his fault. He then said he was just trying to find something to laugh about in a grim situation. “I sincerely apologize”, he tweeted later. However, netizens were not in the mood to let him go for this ‘foolish prank‘. Here is what they said:
