Celebrating his 35th birthday today actor Sidharth Malhotra treated his fans and movie buffs with the first look of his much-awaited movie “Shershaah” which is a biopic of 1999 Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra.
Sharing his first look from the movie Sidharth tweeted the pictures with a caption, “An absolute honor to be able to paint the big screen with the shades of bravery & sacrifice.

The biopic that stars Sidharth in the lead role has Kiara Advani playing the female lead. Kiara also tweeted about the movie and wrote, “Thrilled to be a part of an ode to the Kargil War hero and his brave journey. Presenting the untold true story of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) – Shershaah. Aur janamdin Mubarak, Sidharth Malhotra”, wishing his co-star.
The first look shows Sidharth in the backdrop of the war scenes dressed in the uniform in the midst of the action. Directed by Vishnu Varadhan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions the movie was shot in the mountains similar to the ones where the battles were fought.

Sidharth also suffered injury while shooting for the movie in September last year when his bike skid off a hilly road in Kargil. The movie which is amongst the most awaited of 2020 is slated to release on 3rd July.
