Congress politician and former Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari urged the PM to award Bharat Ratan to celebrated freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, And Sukhdev.

The call for Manish Tewari comes after BJP’s manifesto for the recently concluded Maharashtra elections said that they would give Bharat Ratan to Veer Savarkar. Tewari wrote a letter to PM in this regards.

Earlier AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also vouched to confer Bharat Ratna to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
