SWAYAM stands for “Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds”. SWAYAM is a government initiative to promote online learning and expand the online learning environment for students who cannot afford classroom learning. The initiative offers courses starting from Class 9 students till post-graduation. The courses are taught and prepared by the best faculties and are completely free of cost.
SWAYAM courses are designed in a comprehensive manner which includes video lectures, weekly assignments, discussion forums, and study content, where students can easily clear all of their doubts and study well.
SWAYAM platform has a total of nine national coordinators who provide the various courses on the platform.
With over 11 lakh students registered, the All India Council for Technical Education is now offering 177 courses. The planning, creation, and upkeep of policies and standards for technical education in India are the responsibility of AICTE.
The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning was developed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
