“Why Suffer in Jail?” Mithun Chakraborty To Partha Chatterjee
Mithun Chakraborty, an actor turned politician, on Thursday advised suspended Partha Chatterjee to reveal the identity of the people involved in this case to him. Chatterjee has been recently arrested by ED in a school jobs scam case.
Mithun believes that Partha did own all the seized amount of money, he said, “he (Partha Chatterjee) must have been the custodian of the money which belonged to someone else”. Further said “Why to suffer in jail?” Mithun was quoted by Indian Today.
Mithun also said, “Do you want to hear breaking news? At this moment, 38 TMC MLAs are in touch with the BJP. Out of these, 21 are in direct touch with me. When I was in Mumbai, I read in newspapers one fine morning that the Shiv Sena and the BJP have formed the government in Maharashtra,” while addressing the press.
TMC Removed Partha Chatterjee From All Posts
Partha Chatterjee, who was the State Secretary General, National Working Committee’s member and Party’s Disciplinary Committee’s member, was relieved from all his posts officially as announced by the West Bengal government in an order issued.
The official statement reads, “Partha Chatterjee, minister in charge, department of industry, commerce and enterprises, department of information technology and electronics, department of parliamentary affairs, and department of public enterprises and industrial reconstruction, is hereby relieved of his duties as MIC of the aforesaid department with immediate effect.”
2 Pilots Killed In Air Force’s MiG-21 Jet Crash In Rajasthan
An Indian Air Force MiG-21 Jet crashed on Thursday evening in Rajasthan’s Barmer and two pilots lost their lives.
A statement released from Indian Air Force said, “A twin seater Mig-21 trainer aircraft of the IAF was airborne for a training sortie from Uttarlai air base in Rajasthan this evening. Around 9:10 pm, the aircraft met with an accident near Barmer. Both pilots sustained fatal injuries.”
The statement further reads, “IAF deeply regrets the loss of lives and stands firmly with the bereaved families.”
An enquiry has been ordered to investigate the reason for the crash, said the statement.
Rajnath Singh was “deeply anguished”, his post on Twitter reads, “Deeply anguished by the loss of two Air Warriors due to an accident of IAF’s Mig-21 trainer aircraft near Barmer in Rajasthan.”
Further said, “Their service to the nation will never be forgotten. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of sadness”.
5G Auction Extended To 4th Day
Total biddings exceed the ₹1.5 Trillion mark as the third day of the 5G Auction ends on Thursday, said communications minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
He further reported, “Spectrum auctions will continue tomorrow, seven rounds were conducted today, taking the total to 16 rounds over three days. Bids worth ₹1,49,623 crore have been received.”
Today the 5G auction extended to its fourth day, where “Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio, Sunil Mittal-led Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and a unit of billionaire Gautam Adani’s flagship Adani Enterprises” are in a race.
