From PF, PAN Card, To ITR Filing – Check Out 5 Services Where ‘Aadhaar Card’ Details Are Required

Quoting of the Aadhaar card has become mandatory at different services ranging from filing income tax, withdraw PF, to link with pan card. Moreover, it is termed as a very important proof of identification in India as it is needed while availing state or central government facilities and offers. However, we have listed five essential services where Aadhaar details are required.

1. NRI Aadhaar Card

Non-Resident Indian’s want to open their bank account in the country needed to furnish Aadhaar as a proof for identification. This year in August, UIDAI informed that NRIs do not need to wait for 182 days to apply for an Aadhaar. They can simply apply for an NRI Aadhaar card after they arrive in India — all they need is a valid Indian passport.

2. For Pension

Pension holders will need a valid Aadhaar in order to use pension schemes and avails benefits.

3. For PDS

It is mandatory to have an Aadhar card if you avail of the full lists of benefits that fall under the Public Distribution System (PDS).

4. Aadhaar Card for PAHAL Scheme

PAHAL scheme is initiated by the Modi government. Under this scheme, they grant subsidies for LPG subscribers which is directly credited to the Aadhaar card that is linked to the LPG connection. In case, if your Aadhaar card is not linked to your LPG connection, you will not be eligible to receive the LPG subsidy.

5. For Mediclaim

The Insurance regulator IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) made it compulsory to link Aadhaar with insurance policies. All policyholders must share their Aadhaar numbers along with PAN/Form 60 for availing of insurance services.

Apart from these, there are few other stages where you might need an Aadhaar, such as filing ITR, availing LPG subsidy, linking PAN Card, etc.
