Donning the celebrities of the joyous festival that Ganesh is; devotees welcomed Lord Ganesha with sweet offerings and pious chants across various parts of India. However, the excitement was at the hype in the state of Maharashtra that supposedly witnesses the festival at its best. Like every year, this year too, pandals have been set up in every nook and corner of the state to welcome the elephant-headed deity.
So if planning a pandal hopping in the next 10 days, here are the biggest Ganesh Pandals that you must visit.
1. Lalbaugcha Raja
Every year, thousands of devotees wait eagerly to catch a glimpse of Lalbaugcha Raja, which is also the most visited pandal in the city. Erected in Central Mumbai, the pandal is visited by VIPs, industrialists and businessman from across the country. This theme for this year’s Ganesh pandal at Lalbaug revolves around the ISRO’s Chandrayaan-2.

2. GSB Seva Mandal
Hailed as the richest Ganapati in Mumbai, Gowd Saraswat Brahman (GSB) Wadala Seva Mandal has been protected for over Rs 266 crore. Founded by the Goud Saraswat Brahmin community, the deity dons 68 kgs od gold and 350 kgs of silver ornaments. The Ganpati pandal follows the old tradition where people donate food items as much as their body weight.
3. Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani

Started in 1920 by a group of 20-25 men, Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani will celebrate its centenary year this year beside Ganesh Chaturthi. One of the oldest pandals in the city this year has installed a shivling on the main entrance with the picture of the Ganesh family in the background. Worth a visit.
4. Ganesh Galli or Mumbaicha Raja, Lalbaug
The Pandal is known for its novel new theme every year. Interestingly it is located only a few lanes away from Lalbaugcha Raja. So if you happen to be close by, make sure you visit both. Moreover, the pandal is one of the oldest in the city, completing 91 years this year.
5. Khetwadicha Ganraj
Khetwadi Cha Ganraj at Khetwadi Gali 12 (Lane 12) is one of Mumbai’s famous Ganesh Mandal. The pandal, in 2000, set a record of erecting the tallest Ganesh idol, “Khetwadicha Ganraj” in the history of the festival. Located in South Mumbai, special programs and themes are conducted at the pandal to please Lord Ganesha.

6. Andhericha Raja
