Gangotri Range In Uttarakhand Is Now Visible From Saharanpur In UP As Pollution Dips Across India

Lack of pollution across the country amidst lockdown is giving us aesthetic sightings to behold. Earlier it was the visibility of Dhauladhar Range from Punjab, the Pir Panjal Range from Srinagar. And now it is the visibility of Gangotri Range from Saharanpur.

With the drop in the air pollution, snow-clad Himalayan Range is now visible from UP’s Saharanpur. Pictures of the range were shared by Ramesh Pandey IFS on Twitter. And it really shows the Himalayan range in its full glory visible from Saharanpur, a city in Uttar Pradesh.

He credited the images to an Income Tax inspector Dushyant, who apparently clicked them from his house at the Vasant Vihar colony. Parts of the Gangotri range lie in Uttarakhand and this one is expected to be 100-200 KM far from UP.

Also, this is not the first time such an incident has been reported in the country in recent months. A month ago, it was reported that the Dhauladhar range had become visible from Punjab after three decades. Dhauladhar range is a part of a Himalayan chain of mountains in Himachal Pradesh.

Then reports of Pir Pnajal range, which is a part of the inner Himalayan region, running across the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh and Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, being visible from Srinagar also made it to the internet.
