‘Ghus Kar Maarenge’ Was The Message To Be Given, Says Ex-Air Force Chief on 1st Anniversary Of Balakot Strike

As India celebrates the 1st Anniversary of ‘Balakot Airstrike’ the then Airforce Chief Birender Singh Dhanoa spoke about the message behind the strike. He said that the message was loud and clear ‘ghus kar maarenge’ no matter where you are. Singh further said we could have attacked them from our territory as well.

The Balakot Airstrike that took in response to the ‘Pulwama Attack’ by Pakistan was conducted on the wee hours of 26th February last year. The following day, that is 27 February, in a tit-for-tat airstrike Pakistan retaliated.

An Indian warplane was shot down along with the downing of Pakistani F-16. Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman was taken prisoner by the Pakistan military before being returned on 1 March.
