While the police in cities, states including Delhi, Mumbai and more ensured there were no parties or unnecessary crowd, that could add to COVID-19 caseload, Goa, on the other hand, welcomed 2021 in style with no such restrictions.
Numerous videos of people partying in Goa, as they welcome the New Year 2021, have been flooding the internet making many jealous on one hand and leaving others worried.
The Chief Minister of Goa who was supposed to impose a night curfew in the state ahead of New Year but thought otherwise. In a statement issued on Thursday morning, the Health Minister of Goa said he discussed the implementation of curfew with the CM but he didn’t specify when the curfew shall start.

Surely New Year is that one time of the year when Goa makes a lot of money. And with lockdown plunging the finance of the state already, the CM tried to cash on the opportunity even if that means these people now heading back to their respective states with the virus that they might have been infected with in Goa.
