Good News For 33 Lakh Government Employees: The Centre Is Likely To Grant DA Arrears Of 18 Months Soon, According To The 7th Pay Commission

Today’s 7th Pay Commission News: If rumors are to be believed, a meeting with the cabinet secretary will be conducted just before Christmas to address the matter.

A fantastic piece of news has arrived for nearly 33 lakh government workers. According to media sources, the Center intends to give them 18-month DA arrears. Thousands of workers have been waiting for the Center to take this step for a long time.

Government workers, according to sources, have petitioned the Center to clear their DA arrears, which have been frozen for 18 months owing to the epidemic. Apart from existing government workers, the Indian Pensioners’ Forum (BMS) has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting that the arrears of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of central employees and pensioners be cleared.

If rumors are to be believed, a meeting with the cabinet secretary will be conducted right before Christmas (December 24 (tentative)) to address the matter. The Centre, on the other hand, has made it plain that it has no plans to pay DA arrears to central staff. However, given the persistent demand and the letter from the pensioners to Prime Minister Modi, a decision may be made in this subject.

According to the Pay Commission report, the country’s central workers number 33 lakh and are anxiously awaiting news from the government.

Due to the COVID epidemic, the Finance Ministry postponed the DA rise from May 2020 to June 30th, 2021.

The central government must now make a decision on the workers’ DA arrears. If the Finance Ministry agrees this request and provides its approval, a large sum of money will be sent into the workers’ bank accounts.

Thousands of workers around the nation will be happy as a result of this event. The DA was raised to 31% by the Centre in October. The benefits are now available to over 48 lakh central government workers and over 65 lakh retirees.

The National Council of JCM’s Shiv Gopal Mishra told Zee Business that the DA arrears of Level-1 workers vary from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. Employees’ DA arrears for Level-13 (7th CPC basic pay bracket Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) or Level-14 (pay scale) would be Rs 1,44,200 and Rs 2,18,200, respectively.
