Update – 6:03 PM – Google services have been restored as of now.
Google on Monday suffered a major technical issue impacting its apps and services including Gmail, Youtube, Docs and more for users from across the world.
Millions of users, who use these services on a regular basis, were affected due to the outage.
While Google Docs users are seeing the message “Google Docs encountered and error. Please try reloading this page, or coming back to it in a few minutes,” YouTube just shows its error page with a monkey and states ‘Something went wrong’ along with a search bar.
Meanwhile, Google Maps users can open the page but cannot sign in to get personalised results.
As the outage happened, people took on Twitter to share memes.
