Gradual Rainfall In These States Till August 23 Says India Meteorological Department

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a steady increase in rainfall over Bihar and Northwest India. It might lead to fairly widespread rainfall in Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand from August 19 to August 23 says the weather department on Thursday.

The fairly rainfall might take place in certain regions of Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, and East Rajasthan from August 20 to August 23. Also, these regions might be isolated heavy rainfall on August 20 and August 21.

IMD forecasted that the rainfall activity might increase over Central and adjoining north Peninsular India in an upcoming couple of days. Not only will this, regions like the Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh notice heavy rain from August 19 to 21.

The meteorological department said that similar weather can be seen over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Marathawada, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, and Jharkhand on August 19. However, the rainfall activity will decrease over these areas afterwards.

Cyclonic circulation can also be seen in south Bihar and its neighbouring regions at lower tropospheric levels. In the next three days, it will likely move nearly westwards. Strong southerly winds from the Bay of Bengal to northeast India will continue to prevail till Thursday.
